Empowering Education in February 2019
Global outreach
"Empowering Education" project, which aims to support and empower children living in poverty by providing them with the basic necessities to excel in school. Members of JCI North Jersey and JCI Philippine-American NJ will be visiting poor rural areas in the Philippines between February 12th to Feb 25th, 2019.

Many children living in these areas do not have the basic learning tools to attend school. WIth your support, we aim to help at least 50 children through this project.

February 2019
Congratulations to JCI North Jersey and JCI Philippine-American New Jersey on the sucess of their first joint project of 2019, Empowering Education.
Through this project, we were able to positively impact and empower the children at two orphanages (Lingap Bata Orphanage and Willing Hearts Orphanage). The excitement and happiness of the children was indescribable. It took all my strength to hold back my tears.
Most of the children in the orphanages were either rescued from the streets or abandoned by their families. Some have been at the orphanage since they were babies. It was so great to talk to the children and hear about their hopes of finishing school and succeeding in life. By providing these school supplies, we have all played a role in helping them achieve their goals. They were so appreciative.
Kudos to Co-Chairs Donna Briana Domingo (JCI PhilAm NJ) and Jazon Andes (JCI North Jersey) for an amazing project. Many thanks to Chapter Presidents Shari May Guirao (JCI North Jersey) and May Aileen Manuel (JCI PhilAm NJ) and JCI New Jersey State President Moppet-Maria Villasin Nucum for your support and helping make this joint project possible.
A huge THANK YOU to all our members, donors, and volunteers!
